LOTTERY FUNDING BOOST FOR FAIFLEY ART GROUP

Martin Docherty, SNP MP for West Dunbartonshire, has welcomed the success of Faifley Art Group in securing a funding award from Creative Scotland through the Big Lottery Fund Scotland. Faifley Art Group, a Clydebank-based group of leisure artists, has been awarded £2,255 through the Big Lottery’s Awards for All fund which aims to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. MARTIN DOCHERTY-HUGHES MP URGES RESOLUTION IN CHIVAS PAY DISPUTE

Martin Docherty-Hughes, SNP MP for West Dunbartonshire, has urged whisky firm Chivas Brothers to work constructively with trade unions and staff at its Dumbarton-based bottling plant to resolve an ongoing dispute over pay. In a letter to Mr Laurent Lacassagne, Chief Executive of Chivas Brothers, Mr Docherty-Hughes expressed concerns about wage disparities of up to £900 between Chivas workers on the same pay grade across their operations at Kilmalid and Paisley.
