As an MP working four, sometimes five days a week in Westminster, I believe it is vital to spend as much time as possible in West Dunbartonshire. Any chance I get I visit schools, community groups and local businesses.
I was delighted to be invited to Levenvale Priamary School’s summer fun day last year where I was treated to Ice Cream, Pancakes with home-made jam, and a whole range of treats all made by the pupils in the school. The pupils showed me round their garden and I even got the chance to try my hand a bowling thanks to the folks from Argyll Bowling Club who came along to support the day.
It was great to see so many people there to enjoy the sunshine and support the school, not just parents, but others from the local community, both volunteers and visitors to the school. A great day was had by all and I hope I’m able to come back next year.
