Palestinian Women Affected by Breast Cancer

Categories: Campaign Emails

My SNP colleagues and I absolutely support all efforts which encourage the government of Israel to remove any obstacles which may hamper treatment for patients.  I was delighted to see the recent awareness campaign organized by the Aid and Hope Program for Cancer Patient Care in Palestine, which received support from the UN. I understand that UNRWA has also been running its own Breast Cancer Awareness campaign across Palestine and this is most welcome.

Last Easter, my SNP colleague Dr Philippa Whitford M, spent a week in Gaza performing four major cancer operations, hosting clinics and delivering lectures. During her time there she had the opportunity to look at the difficulties breast cancer patients have in accessing what we would consider standard treatments due to the blockade.  Rest assured, that my SNP colleagues and I will continue to do all that we can to push for better healthcare for all people living in Palestine.
