As parliament has been dissolved, I am no longer an MP pending the result of the general election on 4th July.
I am standing for re-election as the SNP candidate for West Dunbartonshire.

Martin Docherty-Hughes, MP for West Dunbartonshire, has urged anyone with information about the disappearance of Alexandria woman Lisa Brown to come forward.

The family of Lisa Brown, who has been missing since 4 November 2015 when she vanished from her home in Spain, have today launched a fresh appeal for information.

A reward of up to £100,000 has been raised by the family and is being offered through Crimestoppers for information which helps the investigation into Lisa’s disappearance.

Local MP Martin Docherty-Hughes has been supporting Lisa’s brother Craig Douglas and sister Helen Jordan in their efforts to find out what happened to their sister.

Martin Docherty-Hughes MP said:

“Lisa’s disappearance has had a deeply profound impact on her family here in West Dunbartonshire.

“Lisa is a much loved and dearly missed mother, daughter, sister and friend. These past couple of years have been unimaginably difficult for those closest to Lisa.

“Her family has worked tirelessly to raise funds for the £100,000 reward announced today. Their resilience in the face of such heartache is remarkable and I will continue doing all I can as their MP to support them.

“Someone out there knows what happened to Lisa, and I would urge anyone with information – whether based in the UK or in Spain – to do the right thing and come forward.”

Roger Critchell, Crimestoppers Director of Operations, said:

“The family are desperate to find out what happened to Lisa. We understand that people are not always willing to go to the police so we would urge them to contact Crimestoppers with 100% anonymity through our phone line and our online form.”

Anyone with information on Lisa’s disappearance can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 in the UK and 900 555 111 in Spain or online via:
