FOREIGN SECRETARY URGED TO ACT OVER DEATH PENALTY FEARS FOR SCOT DETAINED IN INDIA

The UK government has been urged to step-up efforts to secure the release of a young Scot imprisoned in India for more than three years over fears he may be facing the death penalty.

UPDATE: SCOTLAND IN LOCKDOWN

On 4th January 2021 the Scottish Government announced a new national lockdown in mainland Scotland to prevent the spread of the new, highly contagious strain of coronavirus (Covid-19).

WEST DUNBARTONSHIRE MOVES TO LEVEL 3 COVID RESTRICTIONS

It has been announced today (8 December 2020) that West Dunbartonshire is to move into Level 3 Covid-19 restrictions, alongside the other Scottish local authority areas currently subject to the highest Level 4 restrictions.

WEST DUNBARTONSHIRE MOVES TO LEVEL 4 COVID RESTRICTIONS

It has been announced today (17 November 2020) that West Dunbartonshire is to move into Level 4 Covid-19 restrictions alongside a number of local authorities within the Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board area and across central Scotland.

WEST DUNBARTONSHIRE’S MP URGES RESIDENTS ‘STICK WITH IT’ AS LEVEL 3 RESTRICTIONS CONFIRMED

West Dunbartonshire residents have been urged to ‘stick with it’ in the fight against Coronavirus following confirmation that the area will be subject to Level 3 restrictions under Scotland’s new 5-Level Covid-19 alert system.

Local MP Martin Docherty-Hughes MP welcomed the news that West Dunbartonshire has avoided the strictest Level 4 restrictions, thanking local residents for playing their part in helping to keep the spread of Coronavirus under control. UPDATE: SCOTLAND’S NEW MEASURES TO REDUCE SPREAD OF COVID-19

On 22nd September 2020 new nationwide measures were announced by the Scottish Government to protect the population from the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in response to rising number of cases in Scotland and across the UK.
